About Gili Meno Turtle Sanctuary
The Gili Meno Turtle Sanctuary is a must-visit attraction and one of the most meaningful experiences on the island. The community-run project rescues injured and sick sea turtles from the waters around the Gilis, rehabilitates them, and releases them back once they are ready. Visitors can see turtles at various stages of recovery in clean, well-maintained tanks, learn about threats to sea turtles from volunteers and local staff, and during hatching season (roughly April to October) witness baby turtles up close.
There is no entry fee but donations directly fund the conservation work. Give generously if you can.
