About Gili Shark Conservation
Gili Shark Conservation is dedicated to protecting the shark populations around the Gilis through research, education, and community engagement. They run multi-week volunteer programmes for certified divers interested in marine biology and conservation, involving daily dives to collect data on shark populations, reef health surveys, and community outreach activities. Shorter citizen science experiences are also available for divers visiting for just a few days.
Educational talks are open to everyone. For anyone passionate about sharks and marine ecosystems, this is a meaningful way to contribute while diving.
